EASTON ICE HOCKEY PROTECTIVE LINE - SYNERGY HSX: SHOULDER PADS, ELBOW GUARDS, LEG GUARDS, PANTS AND GLOVES
The Easton Synergy HSX shoulder pads feature the Hyperskin Fit design which includes a floating protection on a stretch base that provides maximum freedom of movement without compromising protection. The shoulder pads are built with adjustable caps and segmented adjustable biceps. They also have a compression moulded Exo-Skel sternum, spine & bicep plates. The foam used on these pads are lightweight E- Cell which is located on the front and back. A ventilation system is also used in the construction which features ARC lining for improved air circulation & temperature control for the player.
The cost reduction of advanced materials, allowed us to use hot-melt PU films to reduce the need to use the traditional stitched construction, saving time and costs in mass manufacturing.
ROLE: Developer/ 3D CAD/ Tech-Packs/ Material sourcing/ Factory communication
Designed by the Montreal design team, the work collaborated upon was mainly on the development side, creating tech-packs, 3D CAD modelling/ follow-ups, size grading, sample/ fit development/ feedback, material sourcing, quality control and R&D visits to factories to review and test samples.
• Various protective tech-packs, with Solidworks CAD modelling for the chest pad and pants thigh guards.
