EASTON ICE HOCKEY PROTECTIVE LINE - STEALTH RS/ 75s/ 65s/ YTH RS: SHOULDER PADS, ELBOW GUARDS, LEG GUARDS, PANTS & GLOVES
The project included the design and development of three price points (pp); the top-tier pp was the RS, as shown below, the second 75S and the third 65S. It also involved the size grading of the SR, JR and YTH sizes, with 3-4 sizes each, size validation and tech-packs were created and sampled.
The Stealth RS range incorporated maximum protection with ultra-light EPP/PC (think cycling helmets) components on the sternum, shoulder caps, elbow caps and calf guards through the use of technologically advanced materials to create a shoulder pad that fits, protects and is lightweight. This shoulder pad was designed for the elite player looking for good protection without sacrificing mobility. This shoulder pad features a perforated base foam, a three-piece sternum construction, and a comfortable neck liner. HDPE rib protection and dual overlapping segmented FRM (Free Range Motion) adjustable HDPE bicep protectors. A Griptec lining also keeps the shoulder pad in place for optimal performance.

Designed by the Montreal design team, the work collaboration was mainly on the development side; creating tech-packs, 3D CAD modelling/ follow-ups, size grading, sample/ fit development/ feedback, material sourcing, quality control and R&D visits to factories to review and test samples.
