EASTON LACROSSE GLOVE LINE - MAKO & STEALTH RS: GLOVE DEVELOPMENT & INJECTED THUMB GUARD DESIGN
Designed by the Montreal & LA design teams, the work collaborated upon was mainly on the development side, creating tech packs, 3D CAD modelling, size grading, sample/ fit/ construction feedback, material sourcing, quality control and development visits to factories around APAC.
The Mako gloves used a more traditional EVA foam insert in the blocking design, featuring a patented independent floating top layer, it created a glove inside a glove effect, allowing superb breathability and a smoother movement of the fingers when worn. High-frequency TPR 3D graphic details were also bonded to the PU fingers to provide added protection upon impact. The AX Suede used on the palm areas, gave a soft feel when worn without compromising durability or grip.
The Stealth RS/ Core gloves used EPP foam inserts in the blocks to create an ultra-lightweight and protective design. The thumbs on both Mako and Stealth gloves could allow the patented HDPE injection moulded thumb guard to be attached for extra protection against any high-speed ball impacts. The thumb guard would easily snap onto the thumb blocks and be securely attached through the games.
